Garmak
Founded in 1978 by Mr. Recep Bektaş under the name "Garanti Makine Torna Atölyesi", we began our journey in a small turning - shop producing special machine spare parts and providing technical maintenance (cover revision and engine reconditioning) to the automotive sector.
Since 2005, introducing numerous innovations to the industry, Mr. Bektaş passed the company to the second generation in 2011. During this period, in addition to carpet centrifuge machines, we brought to the sector such products as automatic carpet washing machines, carpet beating machines and carpet dust - extraction machines.
The new leadership Rıdvan Bektaş, Ahmet Orhan Bektaş, Adem Bektaş and Muhammet Emin Bektaş - undertook the move from apprenticeship to mastery of the business and, by 2015, transformed the company inherited from Mr. Bektaş into a more profitable, more institutional entity.

Entry into the carpet washing machine sector
Entry into the carpet-washing sector Under the Gar-Mak brand, in 2005 we entered Turkey’s emerging carpet washing sector by producing a roll type centrifuge carpet wringing machine with rinsing capability. The pipe type carpet wringing machine produced under the Gar-Mak brand became a key machine in the industry.
From 2005 to the present, having introduced numerous innovations, the company was handed over to the second generation in 2011; during this period we added automatic carpet washing machines, carpet beating machines, carpet dust removal machines and more to the industry.
Under new management Rıdvan Bektaş, Ahmet Orhan Bektaş, Adem Bektaş and Muhammet Emin Bektaş the company acquired from Mr. Bektaş was carried into a more profitable, institutional structure by 2015.
By 2017, with hundreds of machines operating in 37 countries, Gar-Mak became one of the sector’s leading companies. Declaring 2017 - 2018 as "Innovation Years", we worked tirelessly to bring new products to the sector.

2013 Holiday Memories
In 2018 - 2019, with association efforts in Turkey and under the umbrella of TEMSİAD, we organized three fair events (two with international participation). With this, Gar-Mak delivered its products to 44 countries; according to 2018 figures, 50% of total turnover was through exports.
In 2019, with commercial partners in 48 countries, Gar-Mak attained its 45th anniversary; our target for 2023 is to become Turkey’s No. 1 industrial cleaning machines manufacturer, and by 2028 to be the most preferred brand globally in the cleaning machines sector.
Having completed 2019 with an export share of 60% of sales, in 2020 Gar-Mak moved to a new factory of 2,500 m² in Görükle to increase capacity and efficiency.
Today our machines clean carpets in 50 countries around the world.
Dealer & Distributor Network
After 2020, by focusing on specific foreign countries and developing our dealer & distributor network, Gar-Mak enhanced its brand value. The East European region distributorship was entrusted to Mr. Flaviu Podina, based in Romania and operating a carpet washing business. Alongside him, dealers in Bulgaria and Bosnia-Herzegovina contributed to the expansion of business volume.
In 2025, as part of a new initiative, Poles Mr. Michal Mitrowski and Mr. Kamil Rutkowski - who are partners in one of Poland’s local brands and active in many regions - founded the "Rugmag" brand, which became Gar-Mak's distributor in the Poland region.
As a result of this outbound push abroad, by 2025 Gar-Mak succeeded in bringing its technology to thousands of modern carpet washing facilities in 56 countries.
To make production infrastructure more efficient, at the end of 2025 we decided to implement an ERP system and switched to the Odoo platform.
Challenges at the production facility prompted the search for a more efficient factory. Since the existing factory in Görükle was not adequate for the new system, a relocation decision was taken.
In 2024, we produced the "Morbit Solar Panel Cleaning Robot", designed for effective cleaning of solar panels (sun-energy panels) installed on factory, warehouse and indoor building roofs.
